New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC)

The DEC Municipal ZEV Infrastructure Grant Program provides municipalities with up to $3 million in funding to purchase zero-emission vehicles, electric vehicle supply equipment, and related infrastructure. Eligible municipalities are required to install an electric vehicle charging station or a hydrogen filling station, and the program supports the installation of public-use charging stations. Municipalities can apply for grants for a direct-current fast charger, Level 2 EVSE, or hydrogen fuel cell equipment. Municipal ZEV infrastructure must use hydrogen produced from electrolysis or biogas reformulation.
