However, you must give written notice to the British Council more than a week before the day you plan to take the test.
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the exam date.
You must apply for the exam no later than 14 days before your exam date in order to be eligible for a refund of your registration expenses. Refunds will only be given in USD and cannot be transferred.

Incorrect exam or subject selection does not result in refunds.

If you need to change the day or time of your appointment, you should do so using your Webassessor. If you can’t make it to your exam appointment, don’t call CGFNS. They won’t be able to cancel it for you.
A written cancellation notice is required.
If you need to cancel your reservation, you must provide the British Council with at least fourteen days’ written notice. You can email or mail the cancellation notification. However, you must make sure that the British Council receives your cancellation before the Cancellation Period expires. In addition, you must mail your cancellation before the deadline to prevent being charged.
Refund processing may take five (5) weeks.
You can request a refund if you believe that the British Council overcharged you for a course. However, the processing of your refund could take up to 5 weeks. If you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the test date, you will get a 75% refund. To cancel, you must fill out a form and deliver it to a member center. It may take them up to five weeks to execute your request.
