You can get up to $7,000 to lease or purchase a new plug in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), a battery electric vehicle, or a fuel cell vehicle (FCEV). CVRP provides vehicle rebates on an open-ended basis. It helps to get clean vehicles on the roads in California by offering consumer rebates that reduce the initial cost for advanced technologies. California residents who meet income requirements can receive rebates if they purchase or lease eligible vehicles.

- MSRP cap update
- The maximum suggested retail price for small CVRP-eligible cars will now be $45,000* (previously $60,000).

- These are the maximum income levels that you can qualify for a rebate:
- $135,000 for single filers
- $175,000 for head of household filers (previously $244,000).
- $200,000 for joint filers (previously $300,000.)
