The Solar rebate Victoria helps eligible Victorian homeowners and property owners to put solar panels on their homes. The rebate is also available to non-profit community housing providers who are not for profit.
Additional assistance is available, including no-interest loans that can be used to supplement the rebate and solar panels for rental properties as well as rebates on solar batteries.
A Solar rebate of up to half of the cost of installing solar PV panels is available to eligible Victorian homeowners. This rebate can be up to $1850 and is approximately half of the average 4kW solar PV system’s value.
Solar Rebate Victoria Eligibility
You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for this rebate:
- Be the owner-occupier
- The owners have a combined household income taxable of less than $180,000 each year
- It is an existing property and its value is less than $3 million
- You do not already have a solar PV system.
Non-profit community housing providers must comply with the Solar Homes criteria to be considered community housing organizations.
There may be other conditions.
